What is Bering Tonnage?
Bering Tonnage is a single-player maritime logistics tycoon by Antimuon Studios, out on October 2, 2026 for Windows and Linux on Steam. You start a container line in one region with two small ships and grow it across 295 real-world ports, buying from 148 ship variants and collecting 162 shipping licenses while hurricanes, blockades and war close ports under you.
This wiki is built for the decisions that cost millions: which hull to buy, which canal is worth its toll, which flag and license to take, and how to write route rules that do not leave ships idle.

Canals and straits at a glance
Each gate is a passage the route planner can send you through. Gate height follows the toll; size caps and flag bans are what usually decide the route.

First voyage in five steps
- Start in Oceania. It is the region the game labels easy; the Caribbean is cramped and stormy. Compare regions.
- Load, steer, Confirm. Move your first cargo by hand and redeem every objective reward. Beginner guide.
- Automate a 5-stop route and Assign a ship. Unassigned routes are the top cause of idle ships. Route rules.
- Reflag and license with a plan. Your second license must be 621 miles from home. Licenses and flags.
- Buy capacity, not names. Panamax hulls cost half as much per TEU as Handymax. Ship prices.

Questions from the dock
What happened to the Bering Tonnage demo?
Antimuon Studios removed it on September 29, 2026, three days before launch. The developer said on the Steam forum that the full game is a much newer build with several new features and the demo no longer represented it. If Steam shows the demo as uninstalled or unplayable, that is why.
Is Bering Tonnage multiplayer?
No. The Steam page lists Single-player only. The other shipping lines you meet at ports (Hanseatic Gate Line, DGM, Alonto S.A., Great Lakes Packet and others in the Competitors tab) are AI rivals.
Can you pause Bering Tonnage?
In the demo there was no pause button and no time bar. Holding Shift (or the turbo button) speeds time up, and streamers found no key that stops the clock. Costs keep running while ships sit idle, so learn the menus early rather than mid-hurricane. We will update this if the release build adds a pause.

Latest changes
- MAJOR Bering Tonnage launches on Steam for Windows and Linux. This wiki goes live the same day with ship prices, canal fees, flag tiers and route rules.
- MINOR Antimuon Studios removes the demo from Steam three days before launch, saying the full game is a much newer build and the demo no longer represents it.
- MINOR Developer replies on the Steam forum that the demo stutter some players saw is demo-only and the release adds graphics options and optimisations.
- MINOR First demo playthroughs appear on YouTube. The demo, later part of Steam Next Fest (Summer 2026), offers three starting regions: Caribbean, Oceania and South America.
How this wiki is kept
Bering Tonnage Wiki is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Bering Tonnage players — not affiliated with Antimuon Studios.
- How we verify: Every number on the ship and canal pages is read off an official Steam screenshot or said on screen in a recorded playthrough, and each page names its source. Demo-era facts are labelled as demo facts until the release build confirms them.
- Update cadence: Launch week: the ship list, canal fees and license rules are rechecked against the release build and new Steam announcements every couple of days, then after every patch note.
- What we don't do: No guessed stats. If a ship's speed, a fee or a license price has not been seen in the game, the cell says so instead of filling in a plausible number.
